Michigan Titanium began in 2012 and is Michigan’s only independent ultra-distance triathlon, which consists of a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike and 26.2-mile run. In addition to the 140.6-mile event, MiTi also hosts half-distance (70.3-mile), Olympic-distance and new for this year, a sprint-distance triathlon as well as duathlon (bike-run), aquabike (swim-bike), relay and swim-only events.
This year’s event is set to take place on August 13, 2023 at Versluis Park in Plainfield, Michigan. With HexArmor headquartered in Grand Rapids, the sponsorship celebrates a local West Michigan partnership.
“It is an honor to have HexArmor officially join Michigan Titanium as the title sponsor. For over a decade, MiTi has been a prominent endurance event not only in the state of Michigan, but in the midwest region. We strive to be one of the best athlete-focused races around that prioritizes the participant and their event experience as a whole. HexArmor shares the same understanding and values as an organization as they put their customer’s needs and safety first. We could not be more excited to have them as the sponsor of MiTi and help us continue to elevate Michigan Titanium year after year,” said Tris4Health Co-Owner and Michigan Titanium Race Director Jon Conkling.
