GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Adelaide Pointe will partner with Tris4Health in 2024 to serve as the official presenting sponsor for the Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K as well as Grand Haven Triathlon. In addition, Bear Lake Tavern will join Bear Lake Triathlon as the presenting sponsor.

Adelaide Pointe, set on Muskegon Lake, Michigan, offers a modern blend of luxury residences, a wet marina, a dry marina, an event space and a restaurant. The $250 million dollar development also includes improving public access to the waterfront for such activities as fishing, picnicking and kayaking.

They will act as the official presenting sponsor for the Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K as well as Grand Haven Triathlon.

We are excited to partner with Tris4health to help grow the iconic lakeshore triathlon and running events that have been a staple of the community for nearly 20 years. Being a longtime member of the triathlon community myself, I am particularly passionate about growing the local triathlon scene,” said Emily Leestma of Adelaide Pointe and Bear Lake Tavern. “We are excited to build upon the foundation Ron Knoll created to continue to bring people to the lakeshore to showcase our beautiful venues. I’m also looking forward to working with Jon Conkling and John Mosey; when you get to work on your hobby with good people you can’t call it work. We can’t wait to see what this summer will bring!”

Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K will take place on May 19, 2024 starting and ending at the Grand Haven High School football stadium. The event honors retired and active serving military members and first responders. The run also raises money for Folds of Honor, a charity that gives life-changing scholarships to families of America’s fallen or disabled military and first responders.

Grand Haven Triathlon will celebrate its 20th anniversary event on July 14, 2024. The event offers a sprint and Olympic distance. Participants will swim in the clear waters of Lake Michigan and enjoy one of the smoothest and most scenic bike courses in the Midwest as well as the most scenic run course on the City Boardwalk along the City riverfront.

In addition, Bear Lake Tavern, owned by the same family as Adelaide Pointe, will act as the presenting sponsor for Bear Lake Triathlon.

Bear Lake Tavern was established in 1929 and is a cozy, quaint landmark restaurant sitting on the Bear Lake channel. They are open year-round offering tavern specialties with sea-to-table dining.

Bear Lake Triathlon is the first triathlon of the season in West Michigan. Taking place on May 26, 2024, it offers a sprint and Olympic distance event right on Bear Lake in North Muskegon.

“The Armed Services Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K, Grand Haven Triathlon and Bear Lake Triathlon have been iconic events on the lakeshore for years. As we acquired each of these beloved events just this year, we could not be more thrilled to partner with Adelaide Pointe and Bear Lake Tavern to help elevate them for participants, spectators and the community at large,” said Jon Conkling, Co-Owner of Tris4Health.

Registration is now open for all three events. More information on each race as well as how to register can be found here: https://tris4health.com/events/.
